For the first time in a long time, we have been able to release a malbec. Summer rain is hard on all grapes, but particularly reds such as malbec and 2015 was our first dry summer in quite some time. We have only bottled this in the last two weeks…so we would suggest that you lay it down for at least a month or so (to get over ‘bottle shock’). It’s been so long since we made a malbec that we are trying to recapture our skills with making it – so not quite a classic malbec (which tends to be spice driven) rather plums and violets (really!) and should be served slightly chilled.
