CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) ALERT
SILOS ESTATE (15 DECEMBER 2021)

Silos Estate (Silos) must take all reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure a safe workplace and visitor experience.
 
In light of updated government announcements, following is an update on your obligations as an employee, contractor or visitor and the steps being taken around managing risks as per current government guidelines.
 
CAP ON CELLAR DOOR VISITORS (ALL PERSONS)
 
Under current government guidance, there are no restrictions on visitor numbers at Silos Estate.  However, to ensure visitor amenity, comfort and appropriate risk management Silos will apply a cap of approx.  20 persons indoor at the Cellar Door, and no groups of more than 10 will be hosted.

For each impacted group booked, arrangements will be made on a case by case basis.  This may include staggering the event, rescheduling the event or a full refund of the event at no cost.
 
IMMEDIATE QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS (ALL PERSONS)
 
All visitors to the site (employees, contractors, tour operators etc.) who are subject to self-quarantine directions or in close contact with anyone who has a suspected/confirmed case of COVID-19 must not attend the site.  Where such persons attend, they must leave the site immediately, and self-isolate as directed by current government regulations.  It is recommend that all such persons urgently consult a medical professional
 
Return to site will only be permitted once the quarantine period has passed, and upon receipt of a satisfactory medical clearance from a medical professional.
 
IMMEDIATE DISCLOSURE IF FEELING UNWELL (ALL PERSONS)
 
Anyone who feels unwell or has a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, runny nose, tiredness and/or shortness of breath must not attend the site.  If you have any of these symptoms at work you must leave the site immediately and urgently consult with a medical professional and follow all guidance as outlined under the Service NSW App.
 
WORK ATTENDANCE (EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS ONLY)
 
You are not required to attend work if, for personal risk/safety reasons, you do not wish to.  In such cases, you must inform your employer ahead of time to allow them to make alternate arrangements.
 
For each impacted employee, arrangements will be made on a case by case basis.  This may include, where possible, using sick leave, using annual leave, unpaid personal leave etc.
 
HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS AND USE OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (ALL PERSONS)
 
All persons on site must, at all times, follow strict hygiene requirements and immediately comply with staff directions when requested to do so.  This includes:
 
. Regularly washing of hands and maintaining ‘social distancing’ at the recommended 1-1.5 meters separation.
. Covering mouth using a tissue (or crook of arm) when coughing/sneezing and washing hands immediately
. Avoid touching the face, eyes, nose and mouth and where having done so, immediately washing their hands
. Correctly use, wear and safely dispose of any Personal Protective Equipment that is in use
 
CONSEQUENCES FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY (ALL PERSONS)
 
Failure to follow this policy may result in disciplinary action, suspension, termination, immediate removal and/or quarantine from site.  In addition, serious financial penalties can apply from the Federal and State Governments for failure to follow government guidelines in relation to slowing/stopping the spread of COVID-19 for both visitors and employees.
 
UPDATES
 
We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to be guided by information and directives from the World Health Organisation, the Federal Health Department and state health authorities and will update no later than 1 February 2022.
